 It needs no introduction.... If the Domaine de Divonne is a must-see in the region, it is probably because it cannot be equalled: once through the gates and through the park with its bicentennial cedar trees, you will discover how a single location can suit in turn a romantic escapade, a cultural trip, a gastronomical taste and even the thrill of gambling.
Highlight of the Domaine is the Casino: with its magnificent entrance dome - which would take us back to another era if the jingling of the slot machines did not wake us from our daydream -, it is already by itself a delightful reason to go to the Domaine. As for the grand Hôtel, it immerses you in a décor which is partly Art Deco and partly traditional, offering everything a hotel of this standard can: a swimming pool, a Bar, a spa area, a beauty parlour, conference halls and of course a gourmet menu at « La Terrasse », its restaurant. A little way up, a driving range for golfers and an 18-hole course will allow you to perfect your swing before rewarding yourself at the clubhouse with a lamb shank confit...
Another of the domain's treasures is the petit Théâtre - with its red and gold tones, balcony and velvet seats, it is reminiscent of Italy. This intimate space - used as both a cinema and a stage - contrasts with the large auditorium located nearby, which houses nearly 1200 seats!
Although the Domaine de Divonne has lived through the ages, it has not lost in grandeur and its constantly renewed activity at least proves that well-being, entertainment and gambling are perfectly compatible!
