ImageThe 2nd historic Mount Blanc Rally with 11 regular and 9 special events will make it possible to cover 645 km in three days. Departure and arrival expected in Annecy. Besides the pleasure of driving vintage cars, feast with “jazz” and “seventies” parties under the big top located in the Annecy Le Vieux parking complex in front of the Albigny beaches.

Animation films Festival: 5-10.06 Print

It's been 45 years since Annecy first competed in animation films. With halls downtown and giant screens on the embankment, the six day 2006 edition has increased the number of venues showing its premiers, retrospectives and expositions. An edition that little Venice chose to host this year, using the Italy theme to present cinema reflecting its image: colourful and satirical.

Festival Nuits Sonores: 24-27.05 Print

ImageLyon se la joue électro en accueillant 450 artistes internationaux et des «émergents locaux» déambulant aux quatre coins de la ville et dans les lieux les plus inattendus. Un Festival de musique électronique qui a gagné ses lettres de noblesse en seulement trois éditions. Une série de nuits qui fonctionne toujours selon le même concept: des «apéros musicaux» proposés aux terrasses des restaurants une semaine avant la programmation proprement dite. Vient ensuite le Festival qui sera inauguré cette année à l’hôpital de l’Antiquaille pour se clôturer au cours des Siestes Sonores dans le Parc de la Cerisaie.

Le château de Nyon célèbre sa réouverture Print

Il lui a fallu cinq ans pour se refaire une beauté. Après ce toilettage en profondeur, le château de Nyon s'ouvre à nouveau au public. Et pour fêter dignement cet événement, il a vu les choses en grand : visites guidées et animées par le geôlier en personne, boeuf entier rôti sur place, spectacles pyrotechniques. Une semaine de fête à suivre.

The marked walkways allow you to combine leisure with the discovery of nature, and even to cross from Switzerland into France, on foot, in complete relaxation*. A range of tours and walks leading from Salève to the Vallée Verte, from Vuache to Taninges, from the Voirons to Annemasse.

With landscapes, architecture and arts & crafts, your journey will be full of attractions and reasons to pause. There are «discovery» stops, which allow you to visit a farm or a goat fold or, for those who appreciate good food, to taste red fruits, honey, apples, wines and even snails... Try the theme hikes to ferret out marmots or fawn or to meet the donkeys Philou or Nougatine who will take you to Vallée Verte or Salève.

And if you are in the mood for sports, you can practise rock-climbing on the slopes of Salève or for the more daring there is a paragliding; take-off from the Pertuiset site. Also, do not forget the Habère-Pocket platform glider, which allows you to take off for an uninterrupted view of the Léman and Mont-Blanc.

For activities that whet your appetite: village inns and restaurants offering regional dishes, such as the traditional fondue, line your route.
