The Food Museum "L'Alimentarium" places emphasis on the personal and intimate relationship that every person maintains with this element. The exhibition begins with a comparative sampling and then defines its themes through six major areas: form, taste, colour, power, price, movement. The 67^th 'Bourse translémanique des Affaires', organized in Thoiry on November 3rd last, was enriched by 83 additional advertisements. The next edition is scheduled for the 3rd of May 2006 at the Beaulieu Palace in Lausanne. Based on a concept established at Evian in 1985, the event's objective is to facilitate commercial contacts. It is aimed at industrialists, distributors, agents, principals and subcontractors. It is also directed at promoting financial ties between company managers, investors, producers and merchandisers. The meetings are advertised on billboards as needed during the session. If the concept is primarily based on direct and customized business contacts, it also relies on the Internet, as the advertisements can be accessed on the website the following day. An initiative of trans-border cooperation that has generated some 13,000 advertisements in 20 years. A major advantage: prior registration is unnecessary and the event is free.
