When Fabrice opened its boutique last September, it definitely broke with the slightly quaint image of products that are labelled organic. Thanks to Fabrice, organic no longer necessarily means wearing a mohair sweater that itches!
The boutique rhymes eco with trendy and designer, in all kinds of domains: ready-to-wear, cosmetics, wines and liquor, furniture, children's games, accessories and high-tech, provided that the products carry at least one of the 5 labels defined by .Eco, categorized according to the following designations: « natural, recycled, energy, local, or organic ». Rummaging around, we're astonished at what we find (Oh, a bracelet made from a vinyl record -- classy!), but one thing is sure: if you are trying to surprise, there's no doubt at all that you will find truly original products, like a razor with a super ecological dynamo, a very trendy handbag made from the tabs on aluminium cans or a very stylish storage unit made, why not, of cardboard? And if Fabrice admits to making the occasional departure from the rule, it's always for a good cause... as exemplified by that pouring spout in plastic, (a material that's totally banned by the purists!), under the designer label of Nicolas Le Moigne. Clipping onto any used bottle, the spout immediately transforms it into a sprinkler, offering it a second youth. Ingenious, right? Organic and practical, really, and beautiful, trendy and intelligent -- we've been dreaming of that for a long time!
