Chef Jean Oberson's "La Pinte d'Yverdon" restaurant

Print

ImageAfter the Café de la Place in Plan-les-Ouates - without doubt one of Geneva's finest dining spots - it was at Yverdon that Chef Jean Oberson and his partner, Mireille Styner, came with the same objective of maddening the taste buds with dishes of exquisite simplicity. The menu displays a lawyer playing with a soft-boiled egg, while from under his hat peek savoury crayfish, melting scallops, a fan-shaped Simmental beef and a pistachioed sausage or a black pudding freshly arrived from Claude Porchet of Bournens. In short, there is something for every (refined) taste. On the whole somewhat limited, the menu respects the season first and good cheer always! There is a whole culinary philosophy to be discovered in this historic building of Pinte Vaudoise which has been recently redesigned by the architect Philippe Gilliéron.
