Under the theme "The Experience of Time", the 8^th Biennial of Lyon explores the dimension of time. As much as it concerns construction materials bearing the test of time and the temporal protocols of the exposition, the theme of time is also a pretext for taking stock of the nineties. A Biennial of contemporary art held at five places; with the exception of Fort Saint-Jean, it is an example of the 16th century military architecture with a breathtaking view of the Saône river.
