From Léman to the sea: the green road

Whether by foot, cycle or scooter, the «green road» is reserved for «soft mobility» traffic only. The first track, inaugurated in 2000, worthy of the most scenic postcards, passes through the most beautiful landscape of Annecy and its idyllic lake. The concept was developed by the Compagne Nationale du Rhône and the Région Rhône Alpes, who decided to join forces to create a cycle track that will run 610 km along the river from Lake Léman to the Mediterranean sea. It is a project worth following, due to be completed in 2013.
