 As the name suggests, the Drôme Provençale is the southernmost part of the département, virtually a port of entry to Provence. Here the heady song of the cicadas, the blue lavender fields and the hundred-year-old olive trees set the mood: one of seaside holidays, beside the pool! The region is gifted with a thousand riches, both patrimonial and culinary. Black Tricastin truffles, Picodon goat cheese, olive oil and black olives from Nyons, lime-blossom tea from the Baronnies, Montélimar nougat, wines from the Côtes-du-Rhône and the Coteaux du Tricastin... all promising delicacies! The castles of Grignan and of Suze-la-Rousse, the perched villages of Allan and Puygiron, the listed villages of La Garde-Adhémar, Poët-Laval and Montbrun-les-Bains... here, every nook and corner conceals a wonder!
