Weekend in Avant Pays Savoyard

Print

ImageAlthough a small and relatively unknown territory, it still offers everything that a keen traveller in search of authenticity can expect to find!

Located less than an hour away from Lyon or Grenoble and an hour and 20 minutes from Geneva, Avant Pays Savoyard, as its name suggests, is located in the western most part of the Savoie region, bordered in the north by Yenne and Lake Bourget and in the south by the Chartreuse. Avant Pays Savoyard therefore lies at the foothills of the Alps, between lakes and mountains.

Allow yourself to be soothed by the gentle pleasures of life on the edge of Lake Bourget, treat yourself to a Saint Genix praline tart or an Omble-Chevalier from Lake Aiguebelette, feel the calming tranquility of the Abbaye d'Hautecombe in Chautagne, enjoy the remarkable wines of the region: Roussette, Chautagne, Seyssel...
