Betty G Mayor's bookshop: in search of lost books |
|
This is the story of a little bookshop founded in 1970 and taken over by Betty G. Mayor 11 years ago.
A love story with antique books, those which have disappeared from the shelves of the big bookstores forever, and others which will never be republished. Betty will find the rare books, in the French, English or German editions, that you are looking for.
If you ask Betty what her job is, she simply answers: «I'm working on nostalgia». A nostalgia with sweet names like Pearl Buck, Daphné Dumaurier, Pollyanne. Beautiful antique children's books, also.
Forgotten gems which marked the youth of so many people. She loves to welcome people and to see them look through the books.
