Dominique Gauthier du Beau-Rivage, blessed « cook of the year » |

And in the « people » column of gastronomy, we learn that it is Dominique Gauthier who was named « cook of the year » by GaultMillau. This 41 year old cook at the ovens of « Chat- Botté » in the Beau-Rivage Palace in Genèva since 1996, first as right-hand man to Richard Cressac, then, for the last seven years, as chef, has been awarded an 18th point in the 2009 edition of the Guide. A distinction that seems to prove that the best chef's hats are starting to come out of hotels. As for the 7 chefs awarded 19 points, they remain the same: Gérard Rabaey, Philippe Chevrier, Philippe Rochat, Didier de Courten, Bernard Ravet, Horst Petermann and André Jaeger. Now, you know where to reserve your table.
