The Vallée du Trient, land of the Mont-Blanc Express |

|
Between wild gorges and bubbling streams, this valley, which also connects to the Mont-Blanc, is described as the «least well-known in Switzerland» . Appreciated by the English in the 18th century for the Savoy glaciers and «les stations climatériques» (health resorts), in reference to the virtues of supposedly healthy air, this almost timeless region can be explored using the old stagecoach road. A journey eased by the railway service, in place since 1906, whose name calls a long-distance voyage to mind: The Mont-Blanc Express. From Martigny to Chamonix, an invitation to discover a very beautiful era.
