 Revered or rejected, accused of all evils but admired for their calmness and strength, birds of prey have from the beginning of time given rise to conflicting feelings. Maybe this is because of their hooked beak, or perhaps their name, stemming from the Latin rapere « to ravish, to seize,» or because of their exclusively carnivorous diet (mainly mice, and not children as claimed in some 19th century legends!) So come and get to know these fascinating and lovable birds. Spend the whole summer on top of the Salève and experience what the FEDRE* has to offer.

- Every day, young ornithologist explorers can draw birds of prey, play quiz games on the giant screen, and identify sounds, habitats, silhouettes, feathers, and claws. They can observe bird banding from a distance and win prizes by recognizing the silhouette of birds of prey. Or they can learn how to «radio-signal» while flying a small plane and improve their understanding of the world of birds.
- Eagles and paragliding: For our happiness and for that of the birds born in captivity who aren't able to fly freely in open spaces, the Aigles du Léman trains eagles how to fly with the help of a paraglide several times a month.
- Fly with an eagle over the Salève range: Share 45 minutes of magic with a fascinating bird as it flies alongside you, brushes against you and then takes off for an improvised flight.
