Operation « Terroir » in Genevois Haut-savoyard

A simple concept: publicize the best of the region.
An efficient way: 10 restaurants offer a menu comprised of regional products at a fixed price of 21 to 25 Euros. This year, the Department of Tourism of Annemasse Agglo is re-implementing a formula used fifteen years ago, because of its past success, and is offering tours of the region.

But before you sit down to eat, we suggest that you begin with a visit to the market. On Friday, the Annemasse market is one of the largest of the Rhône-Alpes. You can take a stroll through parks full of flowers before boarding the cable car for a breathtaking view plunging down to Geneva and its basin. After lunch in one of the participating restaurants, you can lose yourself in the green labyrinth of the ivory castle of Yvoire and its garden, which awakens and arouses your five senses. Or else, take a little jaunt to the medieval city of Roche-sur-Foron, highlighted by a guided tour. Even more regional is the greengrocer Fruitière des Hauts-Fleury in Mieussy, where you will learn all about the production of Reblochon or discover Paysalp, the natural conservation area of Viuz in Sallaz which will bring alive the history of Haute Savoie of 200 years ago.
